Thanks for class tonight! I still have a question about the two calibration areas for the smart boards with attached projectors. Is there a way on the menu located on the screen to change the level of calibration like you do with the 'smart board' control/ calibration? This is more for scratch pad than interacting with the smart board.

I knew there was more to my SMART board than meets the eye! Thanks for the intro "ah-has". I'm taking this class because I know there are so many tools within my SMART board that I just don't have the time to discover.
Why do I want to use my SMART board all the time? That's easy! It makes my life easier because I can share websites and tutorials with my students that were not possible before. Plus, students LOVE the opportunity to write on it and use it, even if the consequence is learning!

I am so happy to learn more stuff to do on the board. Just in one night I discovered several new things. I hope I can master it and use it more effectively because I see the possibilities.

The technology is such a part of the student's lives that we have to keep up in order to teach in their world. They love to be a a part of the lesson and the board allows this more than any other method I have ever experienced. They are actually excited to do things that I would have never thought they would do. My Math Support kids LOVE playing Math games. Who would have thought it?

I found the article interesting but anyone who has seen an Interactive Whiteboard knows its potential and benefits. Still, it's nice to have them spelled out so nicely.

I want to use the Interactive Whiteboard because it really engages students. Smart Notebooks are also great organizational tools and have wonderful interactives and graphics. I see Whiteboards as the "wave of the future" and I don't want to be left behind.

The article highlighted all sorts of uses for the smart board, some I'd already found and others I'm just dreaming of ways to incorporate now. I've been using the board more and more this year and am loving how it encourages volunteers. Everyone wants to get to come up and try things. I use the many fabulous theory websites (interactive games!) to reinforce theory and teach note-reading. It is more effective than what I've done over the past few years.

I'm thrilled to learn more about the smart board and how to make it work for music and my particular classes. I've already seen an increase in participation in sight-singing with the template made in the first class. More engagement=more learning!!

How's everyone doing on the project? I am really having a hard time finding time to work on it. It just takes so much time. It is great once it is done and will be great next year but for now, it is really a challenge. I am happy to report that I am using some of the features I learned in class and that has been a lot of fun.
